FAQs & What

to Expect

  • Therapy focuses on treating mental health symptoms through an ongoing therapeutic relationship. Consultations, on the other hand, are short-term and solution-focused. They’re designed to give parents practical tools, guidance, and strategies to better support their child’s needs at home and at school. These sessions are educational and supportive, not therapy.

  • All sessions are held online through a private and secure platform. Once you schedule, you’ll receive a confirmation email with the link to join. On the day of your appointment, you simply click the link to connect with me in a live video session — no downloads or special tech required.

  • Yes! Because these are consultations and not therapy, I can work with parents across the United States. As long as you have an internet connection and a quiet space to meet, we can connect no matter where you’re located.

  • Resource bundles are personalized toolkits created after our consultation. Depending on your package, you’ll receive 5–7 carefully selected resources such as worksheets, guides, conversation starters, and school support strategies tailored to your child’s unique needs. If you book a package of multiple sessions, your toolkit will grow as we work together, giving you a fully customized set of supports by the end.

  • Yes, I reserve a limited number of sliding scale spots to make consultations more accessible. If cost is a barrier, please reach out so we can discuss options and find a plan that works for your family.

  • Once your booking and payment are confirmed, you’ll receive an email with your session link and details. During your consultation, we’ll focus on your specific concerns and develop actionable steps. Within two business days, you’ll also receive a follow-up email — either with your personalized toolkit (if included in your package) or with session notes and recommendations. For multi-session packages, we’ll secure ongoing times together so you always know what’s next.

  • Parents often leave consultations feeling more confident and prepared to speak up for their child’s needs across their environments.

  • Instead of feeling overwhelmed by endless advice, families gain a clear next step and a practical toolkit tailored to their child’s situation.

  • Consultations provide reassurance and structure, helping parents replace worry and guilt with strategies they can actually put into action.

  • Many parents share that the tools and resources they receive not only support their child’s needs but also improve communication and understanding within the family.

Parenting doesn’t come with a handbook, but we can build the toolkit that works for you! The worry, grief, and stress you feel for your child is real. You don’t need to be helpless in these situations, and there is help available.

Reminder: these consultations are not a replacement for therapy and this will not be a therapy relationship. These are specifically consultations to support growth and understanding as a parent with support from a trained therapist. Consultations and IEP Support are out of pocket expenses and not billed or covered under insurance. There is also a sliding scale available upon request.
